Last February I was in Abu Dhabi for 7 days shooting a travel feature for Destinasian magazine. After a long delay the photos are now in print, including the (quite unexpected ) front cover.

Verde Two apartments for Citatah

Recently I spent time shooting interiors and exteriors at the just completed Verde Two apartments in Kuningan, Jakarta.

Portrait for Accounting and Business Magazine

In November I was commissioned by Accounting + Business Magazine to shoot a portrait of Yoga Prawita lead adviser to EY Indonesia here in Jakarta. Due to COVID the photographs were taken outside in a tropical garden setting. The photos have recently been published along with an in depth interview with Yoga.( View here )

Jamu Gendong portrait - Jamu book project

 

In september I travelled up to Bandung to shoot a portrait of an Ibu Jamu Gendong (Herbal medicine seller ). This is Sity one of the winners of a 'Putri Jamu Gendong' competition organised each year by Jamu Jago as part of an effort to preserve the jamu traditions in modern day Indonesia. Along with the digital work for the book I shot some portraits with my Fuji GW 690 iii on Kodak Portra 400 film

'Homeground' project

 

Throughout lockdown I've continued working on my 'Homeground' project. The work focuses on the 'familiar' in and around the village where I live on the outskirts of Jakarta. All shot on my Fuji GW690 III with Kodak Portra 400 film.

After working on the new menu at Room 4 Dessert we shot a large selection of delicious products available at Will Goldfarb's new venue in Canggu - Pasar R4D.

After a week shooting for the Jamu book in Canggu I headed to Ubud to work with chef Will Goldfarb and his team photographing the amazing new menu at Room 4 Dessert.

Jamu book project - Bali section

 

Throughout lockdown I've been shooting a book on Jamu ( Indonesian herbal traditions ) for AfterHours Books. In August I was in Bali to shoot a section of the book based around spa treatments and ritual. It was great to be back in Bali after domestic travel restrictions due to COVID were relaxed.

Last July - when domestic travel restrictions were lifted in Indonesia, I was in Semarang to shoot the newly completed pool at the Tentrem Hotel for Citatah.
